Seattle Grace Hospital has been through a lot and the medical staff that has been there from the beginning; understand best how much stuff has gone down. Everybody is beginning to get over the recent death of a fellow surgeon, George O’Malley, but now more drama has begun to surface. It was recently announced to all staff of Seattle Grace that Seattle Grace was going to be merging with Mercy West causing for layoffs of many people on Seattle Grace’s staff. Everybody has been on edge worrying about being the ones who are going to get cut and it’s caused a lot more drama between the staff than there was prior to the merger.
Now, as if Seattle Grace doesn’t have enough problems trying to keep calm during the merger, they are now dealing with two epidemics that are rapidly spreading throughout Washington. Everybody already knows about the N1H1 virus but now the Ebola virus which hasn’t been seen in over thirty years is suddenly circulating again and killing hundreds. Both viruses are spreading rapidly and it’s only adding on to the current problem with the merger. With all of the new drama occurring, some at Seattle Grace are bound to crack under the pressure but it’s not clear who it will be.
