As soon as Carwyn shook herself off, Silas shielded his face reflexively with his paws to fend off the flying droplets, encountering mild success. He then shook himself off a little and smiled at the badger. "Thanks for that." He said, standing back up to his full height, which was slightly taller than normal. Even so, he had a tendancy to slouch a little with his backpack equipped. Turning his hazel-ish eyes back to the badger, he listened.
"Why, what have you heard?"
Silas shrugged at that, both as a gesture and a useful shifting of the weight on his back. "Well I thought that there were only a few beasts planning on fighting, and I thought that I could go out and help 'em..." The squirrel explained, glancing back at the way they came, remembering the bodies still strewn about the field.
