"Oh I'll live? Not so nice to threaten the creature who's holding not only your weapon but also there own."
Arel nearly laughed out loud at that sentence, "You call that holding your own?" Then he did start to laugh slightly as he recalled the events. Then he stopped the laughs and looked up, the smile leaving his face only to be replaced by grim determination, "Give me my axe." He said again, slower and in a slightly angry tone.
"You think its so easy- just rage in on me trying to relax and make me fall in the freezing water and get all 'oh look at me I'm a vicious fuzz ball.' What is that, some sick way of asking my name."
He ignored her sentence, and felt he didn't need to reply so he merely shrugged. Vermin could be so stupid, he always thought, but they don't know his past. He looked up at her again, this time shaking his head and repeating, "Give me my axe."
"And then to be so pompous and demanding as to tell me to give that," she tapped her footpaw against his weapon, "to you?"
"Give it... now." He repeated once more.
Then she pointed her sword at him and hishand immediately trayed to the hilt of his broadsword, all the pain he recieved being flushed away as if it wasn't even there, only to be replaced with a now rising anger.
"you, otter, owe me an -expletive- good apology."
"No I don't."
He pondered her words once more and shook his head, "You, ferret, need to give me my axe." he said in a dangerous tone, "now."
He felt a pit in his gut as he saw her on top of his axe. He'd never really been seperated from his axe. The axe with the black lines dancing around the blade; the axe made by his grandfather ages ago; his axe.
He withdrew Anglachel from its sheath and walked closer to her, "Give me... my axe."

"Or what? You'll start attacking me for no good reason again? What kind of sorry excuse for a 'good beast' are you? When did the definition of good turn to attacking a female who's just lounging in the d**n sun? I must be the most dangerous killer you've ever run into, huh Otter?" Nothing enraged her more then this, she could feel the sick twisting in her gut as she glared at him. It was creatures like this that would do to others what those badgers had done to her. Creatures like this who slaughtered thoughtlessly. Her mind fogged over with sorrow but she pushed it back quickly.
Her frustration and agony was masked by anger. She bent down to pick up his axe. She held it at her side, not exactly intending to do anything with it... not yet. "You don't scare me, fuzz ball. I'm offering you your axe just as soon as you apologize to me."

"You won't understand." He said slowly. "And don't be like 'they all say that!' or anything like that. You just wont understand." he repeated.
His grip on his blade hilt eased slightly as he stared at her, not wanting to apologize, and not going to apologize. He was starting to get fed up with this ferret and so he let his blade drop to his side as he walked to her and gradually picked up speed. "Give me it now." He said again, holding his hand out as he walked closer and closer.
"I'm never going to apologize to you." He said when he was almost in front of her. His grip tightened on the hilt and his anger gradually increased. He finally stopped right in front of her and stared down at her, a growl forming on his lips, "Give me it now!"

Sleet stepped back, uncomfortable with the otter that near her. She considered for a moment kicking one of her legs out in a precisely aimed shot at his groin but decided against it. Her jaw set as she glared up at the otter, he was an imposing figure but the wayward confident ferret was no easily intimidated.
She replied in a snappy tone, "Or you'll chop me in half when I'm not threatening you? Again, how noble and honorable can you get?" Sarcasm dripped from her voice. "You're damn right I don't understand why you would jump all over someone who hasn't done a single thing to you and was just trying to warm up on my sunny day. Why don't you take a stab at explaining that to me then, fuzz ball?"
She gripped the axe tightly at her side, if he wanted it that badly he could simply say he was sorry. What a sickeningly stubborn arrogant otter. Her dark eyes looked at him narrowly, she was carefully keeping track of his movement, if he was truly a mindless killer he may very well chop her in half, she stayed on her toes, ready to block and move if she noticed even the slightest twitch of movement from the sword. It seemed this was becoming a war of wills, a pigheaded ferret up against an equally blunt otter. But she did deserve her apology, and would seek some childish form of revenge were she to not get it.

Arel rolled his eyes. Why were vermin so... annoying? he thought. Every vermin he met was the same: stubborn, annoying, and thinking their better then everyone else, though this ferret didn't think she was better then everyone else... Well... He didn't know that for sure, yet.
"Or you'll chop me in half when I'm not threatening you? Again, how noble and honorable can you get?"
She was bothering him now and he was at his breaking point, but he just thought deeply and he didn't want any more wounds. He grunted loudly and growled at her again, "Give it here!"
He wasn't going to apologize and right now, his anger was getting the better of him. He let Anglachel dangle loosely in his one hand then he brought it up over his head with the tip pointing at her, then suddenly, he lahed out with his other hand balled in afist, aiming at her shoulder; her wounded one.
OOC: Sorry... Not my best... You know he's never gonna say sorry and this'll probably become another fight, right? lol

"Are those the only words you know ot-" Her stab at his intelligence was cut short as he punched at her. Her readiness to flee helped here, for she shot sideways and was quickly out of striking rage. She could beat this otter on speed- she was sure of it. If he continued like this she'd just run off and give him axe to the next civil beast she ran into as a gift. Sleet danced away from him and hopped onto a small rock, thinking she could leap behind it to but a barrier between them were he to come after her again.
"You're only proving my point, fuzzy. What happened to a good conversation to solve our differences? You can't talk to a ferret unless you're being rude and demanding, is that it? I don't like that, seadog. I don't like that at all." Her smugness was evident as she considered a few other ideas about what to do with the axe as she kept a wary eye on the otter.
(Maybe....)

Arel cursed his pain that slowed down his punch, and cursed louder as she dodged. He was really getting fed up, and he looked over at her, grabbed a knife from his belt then threw it at her then ran after her with a sudden burst of speed that had been lying dormant inside of him, waiting to be released.
He spanned the distance quite quickly just as his sprint died down and he stopped in front Sleet, wishing that his friend Rocky or Meko would show up and grab the axe.
Then, a figure loomed next to him and it was a silver fox, garbed in fur clothing who suddenly rested a hand on Arel's shoulder, "What's up, buddy?" The fox asked in a cheery tone, and Arel knew who it was right away. "Springheel Jakk. We met only once before but I still remember you." He gave a quick handshake then explained the situation at hand.
Springheel couldn't help but let a laugh pass his lips and he gave a thumbs up to Sleet and in return was hit in the back of the hed by Arel. Springheel gave him an odd look and rubbed his head, "No need to get physical!"
"Can you get the axe for me?" Arel finally asked, and Springheel looked at Sleet, shrugging. "Ill try."
He walked one step, then a threw a salute, "Sir ferret, ma'am weasel thing! Please give my friend his axe!"
He then took a step back, dropping the salute and nudged Arel lightly in the gut, "That'll show 'er, eh?"
Arel meantly palmsmacked himself for Springheel's nonsense, though it wasn't nonsense to the fox -- he was being serious.

A fox? Perfect, now the odds were tipped against her. Sleet snarled and back further away from the two of them, again bringing her short sword defensively in front of her face. As the fox approached her her face hardened and her eyes looked past him at Arel, "can't speak for yourself, fuzz ball? Need a mediator? I don't think so, you know what I want."
Her eyes fell to Springheel, "And look, your friend can't even tell gender or species! Impressive." She snapped sarcastically as she looked the fox up and down. This could be so simple, but not with this otter. She addressed the fox directly then, her voice calmer and less vicious, she tried to maintain her civil attitude towards him despite how obnoxious he appeared and her earlier insult to his intelegence. If Arel would use him to communicate she would as well.
"Well then, Springheel Jakk," She said, repeating the name she'd heard Arel use. "You may let your friend know -because apparently his ears cannot hear my voice- that he may have his axe back just as soon as he apologizes to me for him unprovoked attack." The blood that covered her arm was beginning to dry and mat onto her fur, the feeling was not pleasant- she was anxious to get out of there and wash the ugly wound.

"You're just to stupid to comprehend what I'm saying." Arel snapped back before thinking things through. "And no, I dont need a 'mediator', and you're never going to get a 'sorry'. I'll apologize as soon as you give me my axe. I'm true to my word."
Then Springheel piped up, "Oh yea! He is! Very true!"
Arel mentally rolled his eyes at his friend, for the way Springheel said it, it sounde sarcastic, but again, the fox was serious.
"And look, your friend can't even tell gender or species! Impressive."
"Why thank you." Springheel said, giving a bow with his arm on his chest and the other arm behind him. He then stood up straight and allowed a grin to pass his lips and he whispered something to Arel wich only the otter could here, "I can out run 'er, I'm sure."
Arel nodded slowly, packing the information inside his thoughts for later use.
"Well then, Springheel Jakk," The fox waved his hand and shut his eyes, "First and foremost, you can't call me that." It was something Springheel always said to those he didn't know or disliked -- that they can't call him by his name. "No doubt she'll take advantage of that. Stupid ferret." Springheel muttered, taking a step back so he was level with his friend. He was sure that she would take advantage of him, for many did, but he didn't let it bother him, for he felt that those who made fun of others or took advantage of others (even his friends) were lower then others.
"You may let your friend know -because apparently his ears cannot hear my voice- that he may have his axe back just as soon as he apologizes to me for him unprovoked attack."
"I understand what you're doing." Springheel said slowly, the grin dropping. "so give me one good reason why I should communicate with this 'fuzz ball'." At his last words Arel sighed, Typical Springheel
"And you wont understand." Arel said again.
The pendulum that was Arel's anger starting swinging faster and fast, coming dangerously close to falling off and crashing.
OOC: Like my metaphor, analogy thing? XD

"And no, I dont need a 'mediator', and you're never going to get a 'sorry'. I'll apologize as soon as you give me my axe. I'm true to my word."
Sleet let out a short laugh at this, "I understand you, Otter, I can hear your whining perfectly well." She growled, "And if you don't need a mediator then perhaps you should call the foxie off and speak to me yourself rather then throwing punches and the like. Yes? Are you implying that as soon as you apologize I'll run our of here with this," She held the axe up slightly, "And never come back? (Haha) Otter you are stupid. I'm an assassin, do you know what that is? I don't want you're bulky war weapon. Not my style. I'm waiting on your apology."
Her head twitched towards Springheel as he spoke, ignoring him when he told her what she could or could not do- Sleet would never take mind to boundaries set on her. She also chose to ignore his declaration that he could outrun her. There was only one way to find that out and she wasn't planning on taking off. As he began to speak again, this time asking for reasons she deserved an apology she retorted bluntly, "This fight is not yours, you thoughtless fox. Back off."
Her eyes set back on Arel, her short tail twitched from side to side as she waited. She had to intention of tricking two creatures... no matter how easy that might be, no she simply wanted the simple simple word. She thought bitterly about how dramatic these beasts could be.

Suddenly, Springheel walked forward and his anger rose, "Look, ferret. I dont know what your problem is, but it's probably hard to pronounce." He gave a slight growl and really started feeling like knockingher teeth out.
"I'm waiting on your apology."
"I'm waiting on you to give me my axe." Arel responded.
"This fight is not yours, you thoughtless fox. Back off."
"Where'd you get thoughtless from?" Springheel asked, a puzzled look forming on his face. "What am I so thoughtless about?" he repeated. "Just proves my point that all bad ones are stupid." Springheel muttered.
Springheel walked closer to Arel, muttered something then walked forward. Arel nodded slowly, thinking his idea was good, and waited to see what would happen.
Springheel scraped his feet in the snow, cracked his neck then knuckles, calmed his anger and grinned a wide grin. He turned back to Arel, winked, looked back to Sleet, then took off straight towards the ferret, his legs pumping like pistons, and his hands swinging at his sides, and all that running, swimming, and climbing really had a great affect on his speed, making him much faster then Arel, and possibly faster then Sleet, though that, he wouldn't find out yet.
Of course, just running after her wasn't the full plan, and the plan would only work if Sleet played her part and she, of course, didn't know she had any part in this plan.
OOC: This is really getting strung out lol
