"Start now. . . Just be careful about it."
Tirael nodded, gesturing toward the bed nearest to his work table. "Lie down," he said softly, then headed for his supply cabinet. Grabbing a bottle, he carefully uncorked it and poured a dose into a small cup. "Here," he said, holding it out to Lachlan. "This will keep you out while I'm working and numb you for a while after." Leaving his patient to drink the anesthetic, he picked out an assortment of tools, as well as a few more herbal compounds.
"Relax," he whispered as he set his equipment on a small trolley by the bed. "By the time you wake up, I'll be finished." Waiting a minute or two for the sleeping draught to take effect, the healer gathered himself and set to work.
[[Eh, that's all I got.]]

((Sorry for taking like two months to reply. I really don't have much of an excuse, so. . .))
One moment, Lachie was sitting on an infirmary bed.
The following moment, he was walking frantically through a maze. A general lack of light in the maze concealed the walls, which he kept striking with his face. That was thoroughly unpleasant, so he simply stopped walking. Subsequently, he was sitting under a chair as magical dancing coconuts closed in around him. Some were big, some small, some as big as his head, but all were quite lovely. Yet they simply refused form an orderly row. Shortly thereafter, he was interrogating Odie for a crime yet to be established. Then, he was watching himself interrogate Odie and peeling an orange with the hem of an abbey habit. The following moment, everything was black.
A glimpse of light appeared, illuminating a patch grass from which grew a single laterose. Lachie approached and touched its petals, and more grass appeared before him. It spread into the darkness, stopping around three pairs of footpaws. The pairs belonged to three significant beasts -- Bragg, Lachina, and Barr. The first was dimly lit, face obscured by darkness. The second looked asleep, though she stood. The third stood between the other two and stared straight at Lachlan. He approached slowly and spoke to seer.
Unfortunately, Lachie forgot whatever occurred in the next several minutes, for he was soon back with the dancing coconuts. One moment, he had a lovely bunch thereof.
The following moment, he was staring at the infirmary ceiling, feeling much less clear-headed than he'd have liked.
