As one might know, N'tashi was killed. However, has he ever left the Abbey?
Meet Chase, a otter dibbun. Born to two otters slain in the battles, Chase was taken in by the rebel warriors. Not soon after his adoption at around 9 years of age, the Fort fell.
Mischievous as he is, Chase delights in ghost stories and paranormal activity. So thus, the otter dibbun walks as the ghost of N'tashi.
He is a good mimic, and remembers his voice enough to mimic it, and luckily, he focused his haunting in Cavern Hole, which happened to be where N'tashi's personal quarters were located.
Soon, the whole abbey is afire with the news of the ghost.
However, within this is some truth. Not every creak and groan was created by Chase, but some by a remnant from N'tashi's vermin horde. A pale pink-eyed ferret, extremely small, hides in the abbey, using holes and secret places to hide himself. The ferret had hidden away from the abusiveness of the soldiers and had hid away until Chase's midnight excursions into his tunnels disturbed him. A little bit unstable, he is also very primal, possessing a base instinct for killing and stealth.
Thus, the ferret, whose name was Slash, decided to come out and give the abbey a piece of his mind, namely by injuring passerbies, or even murdering them....

Hey Grimm! This seems rather interesting, however: N'Tashi is a he. I'll let the others chime in on what they think of this. ^^

'Kay, well a few suggestions.
Yep, N'Tashi was male, and though my original intention was for him to have suffered a heart attack(Caused by Lorna kicking the door in during one of his spirit-o'-Martin induced nightmares, extreme paranoia, stress, etc etc), I can't honestly say that I remember if that's how it ended up. I'll defer to Skipp on that matter
During many of the last years of his life N'Tashi hid himself away in Cavern Hole, which he had made into his own personal quarters. You may wish to focus your "haunting" there.
He was also suffered from extreme paranoia, probably due to schizophrenia, was highly unstable, and all the gone-off-his-rocker mess that is associated with such archetypes. Be sure to emulate that.
Your ferret character? May want to make him an albino. Would explain his coloring(or lack thereof) and give valid reasons to his lifestyle. Albinism is often regarded with fear, and fear is most often expressed in discrimination or in the case of the occupying army, abuse. Also lacking any sort of pigment, particularly in their eyes, they're sensitive to bright light, which would better explain and validate his seclusion to the darker places within the sandstone building.
That said, allow me to be a bit more critical.
Would you be so kind as to explain just what sort of "natural camouflage ability" a pale ferret has, no matter how small? Especially one who resides in the type of environment that has never proven in any other instance to offer much of any form of camouflage to such a creature?
Also keep in mind that it has been more than a few months, I believe, since the building that was once known as Fort N'Tashi was taken over by the woodland rebels. Surely this creature is well aware of the fact that when the building was occupied by vermin the most he would suffer if caught was a beating, but that its new tenants are likely to be far less tolerant and more likely to put an end to his life. Keep this in mind.

i like the idea. i might be able to fit Leaf Eye into it some how. Even if I cannot fit him in, I still like the idea.

For some reason, N'tashi struck me as a she >.>
Oh, about the camouflage ability, the weasel named Wraith had it in Sunflash the Mace.
