Physical Description:
Kolfinna is about the size of a large hawk and is a bit big for a female raven. She has glossy black feathers that shine an iridescent blue-purple color when hit with sunlight, and she takes care in maintaining herself.Belongings:
Her beak is also black as well as thick and slightly curved at the end. Her tail is wedge-shaped and her throat has feathers that can give it a shaggy appearance.
The most notable items Kolfinna has are a spear and a dark green pack that she stole as a juvenile. Both are a bit weathered, but the pack has remained study throughout the years. Kolfinna keeps the spear with her not as a weapon (she has no way to effectively use it as such), but just as a wanted thing. She plans to replace it when she one that she likes more.Personality:
Kolfinna stores keepsakes and occasionally food inside of the bag. There’s a separate pouch kept in the bag that she puts seeds and such into, but sometimes she’ll just put food into the main pack for the sake of accessibility. She stashes the pack and spear wherever her current nest is.
Kolfinna considers herself very intelligent, cunning, and strategic. She is also haughty, opportunistic, manipulative, tenacious, and skilled in vocal mimicry. She likes to solve things, be in control, be right, and she has a thirst for knowledge that can be quenched by almost any kind of information so long as it interests her.History:
Kolfinna is the type to take things apart to see how they work, but she also bores easily. She’ll entertain herself in whatever manner she pleases, be it from teasing other creatures to simply dropping a stick from high above and catching it before it hits the ground.
Kolfinna is not at all a picky eater. She will eat carrion without a fuss, along with fruit, seeds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, eggs, and insects. She also eats on rodents, although she’s careful about attacking live ones due to the chance of them carrying weapons.
That doesn’t stop her from viewing rodents as prey though, especially small ones like mice and shrews. She considers herself superior to them and doesn’t reserve special feelings or even much mercy for the young, sick, or elderly.
She also loves to take things, especially shiny ones like jewelry. If she thinks she can get away with stealing something, she’ll probably try to. Transporting things and finding places to put them can be problematic though, especially since Kolfinna moves around a lot. Due to that, she doesn’t always keep the things she swipes.
For things that she does want to keep but can’t constantly carry, she’ll hide them somewhere safe with the intention to come back for them later. An ambition of hers is finding a perfect place to permanently store her cache, and once she finds it, she’ll go and get the things she left behind.
Kolfinna was born in the North Hills near the Eastern Sea. She stayed there for some of her young life with her parents and siblings, and then she flew south to the northeast portion of Mossflower Woods. It was there that she learned that preying on live rodents was not always wise.Code Words: [[Correct]]
One day while hovering on the air currents high above the forest floor, Kolfinna spotted a lone mouse at a campsite. It was unarmed, as far as she could tell, and she thought it would be an easy catch. Technically, it was. Kolfinna dive-bombed it and sunk her claws into it quite easily, but she did not expect it to pull out a blade.
Kolfinna dropped the mouse before it could slash her, but since she had not been very high in the air, the fall didn’t kill the rodent. It also didn’t fall on its blade, but this was just a small misfortune. It didn’t have any ranged weaponry, so Kolfinna was safe from retaliation as long as she stayed out of reach.
Kolfinna left the mouse alone for the rest of the day, but decided to track and torment it out of spite. She did this for several days. She would steal things from it while it was away and scatter them, as well as mock it and tell it of how she would get it one day. In the end though, Kolfinna was not the one to kill it. The mouse met its end at the paws of a vermin gang.
After enjoying the corpse, Kolfinna followed the vermin since they were an easy way to get food. She took things from the bodies left behind as well, including a spear and pack. She eventually tired of the vermin group and flew off in search of more interesting things.
Over the years, Kolfinna has moved throughout Mossflower, making nests in various areas she wants to return to and collecting information and items. She planned to visit the places beyond the forest one day, but got distracted for some time by the events at Redwall Abbey.
From afar, she observed the rebellion over the fort and its subsequent reclamation, and Kolfinna is currently interested in both the beasts living there and the building itself. When the abbey was Fort N’Tashi, Kolfinna considered it inaccessible due to the amount of armed beasts, but now that it’s headed by new rodents, she wants to inspect it more closely.
