Brigadier General Gorsebloom Braggwuth Sinistra the 2nd was doing his seasonal weapons inspection. He had with him a large wedge of cheese. He walked up to the nearest sabre and took it lovingly down from its peg. He twirled it in his hands and took the wedge of cheese in the other hand and cut himself a slice. "this is a fine cheese slicer. Perhaps one day it will cut the flesh of a foe beast." He wiped the blade off with his special rag and placed in its rightful place.

"Nice blade there." A deep voice called from behind the Brigadier. "How do you do, Briagdier?" The voice called, revealng himself to be Badger Lord Melroch Winterpaw. "I remember making that blade. 'Tis a nice blade, my friend. Use it well." Melroch said, smirking. Something was on Melroch's mind. The black badger was unsettled about something, but he couldnt place his finger on it. Perhpas troubled dreams of being attacked? Or perhaps the still unnerving part of his brother's death? Whatever it was, Melroch didn't know.
"How are the recruts doing, Briagdier?" Melroch eventually asked, curious at how his Long Patrol would be shaping out. "They followin' the rules of their commanding officers? are they shaping up to be brave enough?" Melroch asked, questions keeps coming up subconsciously. The badger shook his head and apologized, "I am sorry, my friend. I have troubled thoughts and just want to keep everyone here safe." He said, laughing slightly, though he found nothing funny about the situation he was in at all.

"Laird Melroch, sah, ye don' happen tae 'ave..." Seasand knocked precursorily on the open door and walked in, trailing off as she spotted the two creatures.
"Brig'dier, Laird Melroch!" She saluted Gorsebloom and Melroch, standing to attention.
[bleh, can't think of more.]

Upon hearing Lord Melroc's voice, Gorsebloom did an about face and saluted the badger lord promptly. He called out in fine fashion, "Oh they'll do alright sah. I understand your concern I feel it myself sometimes wot!" Gorsebloom heard Seasand knocking at the door, and he cast a severe look and saluted back. "Marm, state your name and bally rank."

"Marm, state your name and bally rank."
Forgetting that both of the creatures before her outranked her, Seasand met Gorse’s stern look with one of her own. “Sarg’nt Seasand, sah, an’ ah was long afore ye were off yore mater’s h’apron strings, wot!” She nodded politely to the badgerlord, still at attention.
“Sorry sah, just wondered if y’have seen those terr’ble twins, Southpaw ‘nd Westpaw, ran off from punishm’nt dooties ag’in!” She explained in her broad northern accent. Nearly twenty eight years in the south hadn't softened it one bit.

Melroch smirked, "No, ma'am. I have not seen them at all." Then he sighed, "I hope they arent getting into too much trouble, eh?" He smiled, thinking about his older days of when he was a child. Everything back then was peaceful. Now look where he was... A Badger Lord... In his brother's stead. His brother should be leading this army, not him. Melroch shook his head slowly and walked out, mumbling, "Ill be in the forge room."

Gorsebloom liked this old hare. She had a fiery spirit like he did. Trying to hide a smile, Gorse began to smooth out his mustache. He held out his paw and said, " well marm, it's nice a sargeant as capable as yourself." Gorse turned to see Lord Melroch walking towards his huge forge. "well sah, If'n you'll excuse us we'll pop down and see if we can't find the two miscreants."

Seasand relaxed her stance, shaking her head. “Och, those two’ll r’gret it, mark mah wuirds! Ah’ll ‘ave ‘em wuirking in mah forge fur t’next week!” She peered suspiciously at Gorse, who seemed to be trying to hide a smile.
"Well marm, it's nice a sargeant as capable as yourself."
Seasand took Gorse’s paw, shaking it in a business-like manner. “Ah’ll assume ye meant t’say ‘tae meet’ in there som’place, Brig'dier Guirse.”
"Well sah, if'n you'll excuse us we'll pop down and see if we can't find the two miscreants."
“Roight then, lets be goin’!” Seasand tipped a causal salute off the tip of her ear to the departing badgerlord and led Gorse out of the armory.

Melroch nodded, "Good luck." He smirked.
The black badger walked into his foge and pulled out his blade. It was perfectly good, and he wanted another one, a twin blade, actually. So, Melroch pulled down a sword used by his brother. A tear came down his eye as he weilded it. It was o perfect balance, and was a truly great blade, except the blade being dull.
The hilts were surprisingly the same on the two sword, so all Melroch needed to do was make it sharper. He took up his hammer and placed the blade on the anvil. He started banging away at it. He slammed because he was angry, he slammed because he was sad, and he slammed because he kept thinking about his past. He banged away and away, with the only thought in his mind the thought of seeing his brother the time they were re-united.
OOC: Writers block... *sad face*
