Lachlan laughed aloud to himself as he ambled about almost aimlessly. He was finally capable of walking short distances without the aid of his cane. It felt nothing short of a miracle, though likely about any healer could have done what Tirael had. Nevertheless, the big otter was unendingly grateful and intended to lavish profuse thanks upon the healer, as though hadn't done so at least eighteen times already.
Of course, on his way to the abbey building, something caught his eye. The belltower.
"... I've business t'take care of down south. Somebeast named Derlaw wants t'meet with me. Says 'e's my brother, but the name don't ring any bells...
. . . ring any bells. . . Lachlan paused, mouth agape for a moment. All previous happiness had fled him. Abruptly, he turned his head to the side, brow furrowed. Just a tree. Not important. He returned his gaze to the belltower and considered investigating it further, but Bragg's words were beginning to decipher themselves now. South of Bragg at the time was most of Mossflower, including Redwall. . . Redwall. . . Derlaw. . .
Lachlan cursed.
He began hurrying toward the Belltower, dreading who or what he might find therein, when somebeast called out to him. He sighed, and turned around to see just what was so important. Time really wasn't something he could afford to waste right now. . .
