THIS IS IMPORTANT. READ AND RESPOND NOW.
“It's a shocking thing to find, to say the least. And many of you may think: Well, they won't use my stuff. But look a little closer, 'IN ANY MEDIUM NOW EXISTING OR LATER DEVISED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IN ADVERTISING AND PUBLICITY'... Publicity! Anything could constitute publicity. They can forever use our creations.”
Please read and respond! We only have so much time—so we, the staff, need to know. What do you want to do? Are you willing to let Proboards use your characters and writings for their own gain or not? If not we will need to get to work on moving over to IF or something similar.
If you have an opinion—tell us! Moving will mean the loss of a lot of Roleplays, though of course we would try to bring as much over as possible. Character bios can be moved over, though it would be a great deal harder to move threads.
This would require lots of work from everyone, but it would mean you get to keep use of your characters and writings your own—and solely your own!
The majority vote is what matters here, and that means the majority of respondents. So respond!
Thank you!

The above is the newest change to the TOS. This means that ProBoards can use all the writing you put up on the board and claim it as their own. It means that when they claim it as their own, by using the board, that they do not have to give us any money for it if they are making money off of it. It also means that if they do release our materials they can disclose our personal information.
