Alright, so, we already have an escape plan now, for those who don't know it: A) Azrael and Skipper give their respective signals to start the escape. --Completed--B) The woodlanders begin a ranged attack on the western and southern walls to distract N'tashi's soldiers and guards. --Completed--C) The slaves, starting after Azrael's signal, make their way to the northern wallgate, trying to keep as low a profile as possible. Should they encounter any resistance (ahem ahem), they use their meager weapons stock to take out the block as quickly as possible and get out the gate. --Completed;DISCOVERED BY VSEVOLOD--D) The slaves go out the gate, where they are assisted and defended by a woodlander team. They all disappear into the woods, and head back for Camp Moss. The wounded and sick will be taken care of. --Completed--E) The rest of the woodlanders will stay a little to cover the Fort for a while and make sure the slaves and...non-fighty types get to Camp Moss without being pursued. Once this is completed, the woodlanders will melt into the woods and get back to Camp. --Completed--I'll update our little plan as we go along. Now, as Skipp, maybe Drake, and no one else here will get the reference to, "Things never go smooth." In this case, that means resistance to the slave escape from inside, pursuers slipping through the woodland forces and chasing the slaves, etc. We'll figure this out as we go along. So, without further typing on my part, let the games begin... So the 'escape' went semi-smoothly. Now the woodlanders and vermin alike are licking their wounds, and the Salamandastron army marches to war. We're looking for more allies, more characters, more ideas. Allies could be new, or allies who simply haven't been RPed except as NCPs. Needed positions:-Champion of Redwall: Sokana Kehure (lorki) -Vermin Warlord(s): N'Tashi (Maxodis) -Badger Lord: Melroch Winterpaw -Badger Guardian: -Squirrel Chieftain: -Log-a-Log: -Sparra Queen: -Baron of Hedgehogs: -Otter Chieftain: Skipper (Skipper) [Admin] Foremole: Assistants Cook: Healer: First Mate to Skipper: River (Brookesong) Guosim First Mate: Squirrel First Mate: Second Command Sparra:

We could have a secret son of N'Tashi or somthing. Or a father of N'Tashi who like 80 years old but is still had a good brain box.
Or we could do somthing along the lines of finding the sword of martin (where is it in relation to the current plot?).
Then there's always the classic sea rat/warlord alliance. Or we could twist it around a bit and ahve a Juska clan/warlord alliance.

Well, we're already finding the Sword, although the 'secret son' could be useful. (Maybe he could help us get Redwall back?, though we'd need someone to fill the position in.)

Okay... quick summary of plot as it currently stands:
Martin has driven N'Tashi into a nervous wreck. Lorna, Jakk and Vels plot against the warlord Skipper is leading Soka(championintraining) to the sword A lot of slaves escaped, but not all. Lord Melroch and the hares are finally arriving in mossflower, led by the two squirrels sent to get them.
um did I miss anything?

IDEA: A spy. Possible, yes? A slave who was released to track down the Campers and make reports with the promise that they would be freed forever and given a high position for their services? And they could report whatever was decided upon i.e. Position of Campers, current events? Maybe? Then, they would get found out and killed in the approaching battle! Good idea/bad idea?

Just a few quick ideas to get all my folks mashed up in the plot, I guess. What I know of it anyways.
Article 1: Silas at home in his village to the south of the River Moss, get alerted to a growing conflict as the Long Patrol pass through or some such. Seeking an opportunity to prove his worth to the little community, he boldly elects to march along and fight to prove his worth. Afterwards perhaps he can organize what squirrels he can for some battles ahead, if there are any to be had.
Article 2: By chance the dynamic duo Sergei and Ghost happen upon Camp Moss, or at least near it, and are captured under suspicion of being spies of some sort. Not a beast to be stopped so easily, Sergei frees himself and Ghost and escapes, only to be captured by the Fort guards and coerced into working for them.
Article 2B: During their forced conscription into the ranks of vermin, Sergei and Ghost use the opportunity to try and appease the reigning head cheese of the establishment, while formulating plans of either escape or methodical revenge upon both parties in the conflict. This is of course in large part is Sergei's doing.
(Amendments or scrubbing will be applied as necessary.)

Hello all! I'm new here and looking for an "in" to the plots going on. ^^ I saw in a couple different places that a spot for squirrel chieftain or squirrel second-in-command is open (Treesage). ;3
I'd would like to play either, though I prefer the captain position over chieftain. I like supporting roles over the powerful leader character role to be honest. ;3
I can have an application written up fairly quickly, I'd just want some details either on Treesage or anything I'd need to know as chieftain like what characters they've interacted with so I can do some research on the personalities and histories I should know about. ;3
I look forward to role-playing here and hope this'll be okay! =D

Hello Fleech, welcome to the site! Well Treesage is one of our more active NPCs, she's seen around quite a bit. I'm sure a search of her name in the RP areas will turn up some posts she's written in. Basically like the adoption thread says, she's a "Pretty red squirrel, Treesage is one of the Captains of the Guard in regards to the squirrels of Camp Moss. In absence of a squirrel queen, and with a level head and much common sense, most squirrels turn to her for leadership decisions." One character, who is also an NPC, she interacts with most frequently is Able: "Skinny, mid-aged with gray fur, Able is a snippy, power-hungry beast, and has been described as such on several occasions. Carwyn Pike is under the opinion that his mother and/or commanding officer never taught him manners."
Treesage is his partner on patrols, mostly because she will not stand for any of his nonsense and is quite vocal in telling him to shut up.
Treesage is our most prominent Mossflower squirrel, and so we have placed her in a rather position of command, but have also arranged it that any writer wishing to take the position of Squirrelqueen can either make their own queen or use Treesage. You're saying you wish to adopt Treesage and make her the Squirrelqueen's first mate, is that right?

It was a thought. ;3 Now that you've thoroughly explained the situation to me, I'm unsure I'd be able to play her effectively. lol Are there any other positions you guys are in serious need of? I took a look at the positions open and all, but maybe there's something you guys haven't mentioned? Anything you'd really like to see filled out?

Well, we'd really like to see an abbot or abbess, if you're sure you don't want to play Treesage. What exactly made you change your mind about her?

It seemed to me that she's already thoroughly fleshed out due to the many mentions you all have given her or so I assume. ;3, If she's already steeped in role-play I'm just not sure how many options that gives me as a new player. I thought maybe she was just mentioned in passing but it sounds to me from your description of her that she's already a thoroughly fleshed out character with preexisting relationships and it might be a bit more difficult for me to simply pick her up and play her. ;3
But I suppose it all depends. An abbot/abbess might be just as difficult to pick up.
