Physical Description:
Red had always been quite a good-looking fox, even when she was young. Her thick, glossy red coat shone from the daily washes she normally gave it. Of course, sometimes she has to go for weeks without washing it but she tries her best to keep clean.Belongings:
Her eyes are her most beautiful feature, while they're a simple, soft brown, they always seem to shine in the light.
She wears a simple green tunic, made of a cloth which is both soft and comfortable. She has a brown belt made of the same fabric wrapped around her waist and wears a pair of simple sandals on her feet.
She wears a dark cloak made of a scratchy material, something to shield her from the rain and from the sight of others.
Her pack- made of the same fabric as her belt and tunic- is the only thing she carries items in apart from the numerous pouches on her belt.Personality:
In her pack she has food, her cloak- when she's not wearing it, a spare tunic- the exact same as the one she wears, a spare pair of sandals and a blanket.
In her pouches she keeps medical supplies, a small amount of extra food (in case she loses her pack) and a small amount of knives. The knives are strapped to her belt and she uses them for plenty of different things, mainly craft or collecting food/herbs. She occasionally uses them to scare off other animals but that's all.
The final thing she constantly carries is a tall staff. It's something Red uses to either protect herself or climb hills.
Being a pacifist, Red had always found her life hard. At an early age her mother had taught her not to fight for any reason, that running or just talking were better. Even after her mother's death, Red still agreed with those ideas.History:
Red had always had quite a lot of weaknesses, not only would she refuse to kill but she often got herself into kill or be killed situations with her tendency to run off and try and save other animals even when the odds were 1-20.
Perhaps because of this, Red was naturally very diplomatic. She often found a way of using words to diffuse an otherwise-deadly situation. Of course this didn't work all the time, and when it didn't she just ran.
Which explained why she was such a good runner. Being able to overtake or escape from most, she found it surprisingly easy to run across large distances although she did prefer short sprints.
Another one of her faults is her loyalty. When Red befriended anyone, she would give her life for them in an instant. Of course, she'd try to get away from whatever danger afterwards but her first priority would be her friend.
Being skilled in craft was always useful for the young fox, Red wasn't just good at creating things, she enjoyed it. Whether it was clothes, food or medicines, Red had spent most of her life living with her mother or alone in the forest and so had a good grasp of how to take care of herself and make her own things.
While she has many faults and strengths, her main weakness is her claustrophobia. While it's unusual for a fox to have any phobias, Red hates small places or crowds. Which is why the forest is such a perfectly good place for her, open and alone. Not that she hates company, she just dislikes being surrounded.
Her biggest gift is her voice, she can sing sweetly and beautifully, high or low, but always beautiful. Her mother taught her songs and she made her own up, Red has always loved singing and, being good at it, she does it quite frequently.
Red's mother was a pacifist, her father hadn't been. That was all she'd ever found out about her father. She often thought that her mother might have ran from him after Red had been born but she wasn't sure. Her mother didn't like to talk about it.Code Words: -CORRECT-
Growing up with her mother in the forest, Red learned a great deal as a child, including how to survive alone. Her mother taught her how to avoid being seen and how to fight. While Red hadn't understood why a pacifist should learn to fight, her mother had explained that one day she might need to protect someone else so it was better safe than sorry. So Red learned to fight with her small collection of knives, she never intended to use them but it made her mother happier that her daughter could defend herself if necessary.
Despite her mother's encouragement in learning to fight, Red's mother had explained to her daughter clearly that killing was something never to be done. It was fine to defend herself and others as long as no-one was seriously hurt. That was a rule Red followed for the rest of her life.
When she was older and more experienced, Red's mother disappeared. Red never found out where she'd gone but, after a few weeks, was pretty sure that she wasn't coming back. So Red left her home and started wandering around.
Her life was peaceful but lonely, the only thing she didn't replace was her set of knives, something she didn't know how to make. Along her way, she found a large stick, about her height. For the next few days, Red spent her spare time shaping the stick, cutting off the leaves and sanding it down until it was a perfectly good staff. She trained herself to use it in fighting as well, just in case it was ever needed.
While Red had often valued just being with her mother and had always hated crowds, she often missed company. So she started 'spying' on other animals, mainly mice. She followed them along the paths, curious to see where they went, she didn't mean them any harm, she was just bored.
Which was how she found Redwall Abbey.
While she never dared to go inside it, or even talk to anyone nearby, she spent most of her time watching them outside the abbey.
