Age: 15 years
Species: Mouse/rat mix
Gender: Male
Appearance: Django is a tan-colored mouse with a large dark brown spot over his left eye, underneath this is another smaller spot of the same color. This brown color is also evident on his ears and the ends of his paws, giving him "sock" or "mitten" markings. His tail is a more golden color than his body fur. He wears a white quarter-sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a moss-green tunic over this with a black leather belt.
Belongings: Django usually carries a yew staff that he made himself. He also sometimes wears an undecorated woven thong around his neck made of white cord. The origin of this trinket is unknown, but he claims that it belonged to his late mother. He does not carry many belongings for the most part, however.
Job or Position: Django wishes to be the next Redwall warrior, but he still has a long way to go.
Personality: Django tries to act older than he is, but he is not as wise as he likes to think. Headstrong and a bit reckless, he tends to act without thinking, taking on a "Ready, fire, aim" persona. However, because of events in his past (explained below) he can actually be an emotional wreck at times. He tries to be strong and tough, sometimes picking fights with other beasts stronger than him (then losing horribly with many bruises), but he's really not as big and brave as he thinks. He's also a bit of a show-off, trying to impress others with his so-called "skills" with his yew staff. When push comes to shove, though, he's a true friend, staying loyal to Redwall Abbey no matter what.
History and Background Information: Django was actually born in Mossflower woods, but when he was about three months old, his mother died and his father, Martin (coincidental name) took Django on a journey to Redwall after the boy turned fifteen. He and his father had been living in the woods after Diana (Django's mother) died. Martin was killed by Redwall's east wicker gate by a woodland rat and Django grabbed a fallen branch to ward off the vermin. This branch became his most prized possession; he smoothed the wood of any splinters and carved his name into one of the ends. He was brought into Redwall by kind creatures who heard him and his father hailing the walls as they approached the gate. Django does not know his last name, for his father never told him, or never had one. Django's lived with slight greif over his mother's death, but has never felt much loss, for he was only a mere babe when she died. However, after seeing his father die, he has a lot of pent-up sadness inside him. The only time he ever cried for his family was right after his father fell facefirst into the ground from being shot with an arrow. He was forcibly carried into Redwall by a strong otter, who knew that the rat was still nearby in the woods. Django was in a position where he could look back over the otter's shoulder at his dad's still form, tears streaming down his face. After that, though, he has hardly ever shed a tear, keeping every negative emotion as bottled-up as possible, and these emotions usually come out as anger, thus he picks fights with others to get his anger out.Any other details: Django is not in a relationship. He sometimes wishes to join the Guosim shrews or travel into Mossflower woods just for the adventure aspect of it.
