Physical Description:
If three words were used to describe Jani, they would be dark, tall, and thin. A perfect assassin’s build. She has enough muscle and sinew to deliver a hefty punch, but she depends more on her agility and her quick wit to help her through a fight than her strength. She is rather slim, barely any fat on her body at all and she is pretty tall.Belongings:
Jani’s fur is dark. And when I say that I mean dark. Her fur is so brown that looks black. But when Jani walks out in the direct sunlight, one can see the hues of brown in her blackish fur. She recalls her fur being brighter when she was younger, but Jani is sure that while she was unconscious the vermin died it darker. Also while she was unconscious, Jani was given tattoos. Well, actually one big tattoo. Jani has this long black line, almost like a bloodline, that starts on the bridge of her muzzle. It then runs over her head, down her neck, right along her spine, and all the way down to her rudder tip. Four braches come of the tattoo, two across her shoulders and down her arms, and the same on her legs. These tattoos are markings of her forced trade.
Jani’s eyes are a vibrant midnight blue. They give her an eerie look about her face underneath her heavily hooded lashes.
Jani can normally be found in a dark outfit that gives her appearance an even scarier look. She dons on a silken black shirt that cuts off the sleeves at the elbows and has a v-neck cut. Over that she wears a black leather corset that has think straps on her shoulders. She also wears a black leather belts to hold her weapons and knee length black leather platoons for free and silent movements. Her final piece of attire is her black leather gauntlets.
Jani’s belongings are common to most assassins. She is the best at long rang weapons, so she has her signature black longbow with matching black arrows, which are her favorites. Both items built for silence and accuracy. She also has a sling and stones that she will use upon occasion. Jani was also taught about poison during her assassin training. So she has a small packet of varying poisons about her belt and blow darts. Along with those she carries a pair of fighting daggers, just incase the fighting becomes close combat.Personality:
Jani’s one non-fighting belonging is her locket. It is a small golden heart on a golden chain that Jani wears about her neck, under her shirt. It just looks like a solid golden heart on the outside, but if one undoes the small clasp, inside is a small wooden carving of Jani’s family. It has her father, her mother, her little brother Tirael, and herself, all smiling happily. It used to belong to Jani’s mother, but now it is all that Jani has to cling too.
Jani is a dark and secluded otter, unlike her past self. She used to be a happy go lucky young otter maid, but now she is sad and cold. At times she can be rather snippy and sarcastic. She tries to be kind, even if she was taught differently. She hasn’t killed any innocent creatures, only the ones Jani knew deserved to die. The one thing that keeps her sane is the memory of Tirael. She wants to find him! She wants to apologise. She wants to make sure he is safe and happy. She so desperately wants to change from the killer she has become, even if the blood upon her paws will never fade. She wants to prove that she isn't that creature she was forced to be. Jani doesn’t want good creatures to be afraid of her. She doesn’t want to be alone…History:
Streamlilly was born in small little home south of the great forest of Mossflower along with her younger brother, by two years. His name was Tirael and Streamlilly loved him dearly. She would always be watching out for him while Mother and Father were busy. They were practically inseparable! Everyday they would play together, whether out in the grasses near by or in the home, the giggles of happy young otterbabes rang with crystal like clarity.Code Words: -correct-
Streamlilly recalls her mother often talked about this wonderful place that Streamlilly’s grandparents and mother grew up in. It was a tall, red sandstone building with large thick walls. It had large, beautiful bells that tolled out the hour and many kind creatures. She said that it was called Redwall Abbey.
Dearly wishing to go, her mother packed the family up for a quiet trip to Redwall through the forest of Mossflower. So the family set out from their little home, unknowing that their destination was overrun by dastardly vermin.
The little family was about a league from reaching Redwall when Streamlilly’s life changed forever. So far, Streamlilly had enjoyed the trip. Her mother and father were happy and there were lots of pretty things for Tirael and herself to play with along the way. However, when Streamlilly saw other creatures in the woods armed to the teeth, she knew something had gone horribly wrong.
Streamlilly’s mother grabbed her children and shoved them into an old hollow log and told them to not make a sound. It was wet, damp and stinky in the log, but the two children were too afraid of the noises of battle outside to care. Streamlilly hugged her brother tightly until the noises died down.
Deciding that she should see where Mom and Dad were, Streamlilly told her brother to stay put as she crawled out of the log. But what she saw as she looked to where their parents were scarred Streamlilly possibly for the rest of her life. There was blood everywhere. Dead creatures strewn all over and their parents…their parents were lying dead in eachother’s arms, and right under her footpaws was her mother’s locket, covered in blood.
Upon hearing evil voices still near by, Streamlilly ran back to the hollow log, locket in paw. She didn’t know why she grabbed it. She just did. With tears streaming down her face she help Tirael out of the log and told him they had to go, now! She grabbed his paw and ran, ran as far away from the spot she saw their parents as possible with the evil voices not far behind.
After running for a minute Streamlilly realized that Tirael wasn’t holding her paw anymore! Looking around, she realized he wasn’t anywhere! Running back the way she came, Streamlilly called her brother’s name. Where was he? Why did he let go? Or did she let go…
Seeing something in the bushes, Streamlilly ran towards it, sure that it was her brother. However, she quickly had found out it wasn’t. It was a small hunting party of vermin. When they saw Streamlilly, they immediately seized her. Trying her best to fight back, Streamlilly was out numbered and quickly knocked unconscious.
The next thing Streamlilly remembers is a burning feeling, all over, but mostly down her spine. She didn’t know what it was at the time, but now she guesses it was the dying of her fur and the tattoo. It was extremely painful and Streamlilly was unconscious for many days.
Upon her waking, Streamlilly found herself in a horde of vermin and her fur a much dark shade than she remembered. But the little moment that she had to look around didn’t last long. For soon she was grabbed and beaten into submission. At least two weeks of beating, and little food was Streamlilly’s routine. Then she was brought before the leader of the horde.
This horde was more a guild, to be precise an assassin’s guild. Creatures are taken, some forced, others willingly, into a life or death training camp. In that camp they are trained with brutal beatings and harsh conditions and then sent to vermin hordes to kill and serve their new leaders, brainwashed and cold (for a price to their trainers of course)…
The leader, a silver fox with a black tail, declared that Streamlilly was to be called Rajani Nisha and she was to be taught to be the best of the best.
So the training began. Streamlilly, who began to call herself Jani by this point, would be beaten, taught how to kill, and if she didn’t do it right, beaten again. Jani quickly learned the best way to survive the beatings and let herself be taught how to kill until it became almost a second nature.
A long time passed like this and Jani soon became the best assassin the horde had ever seen. She was quiet, swift, and accurate. There was no where you could hide when she was on your trail, because just when you least expect her, she strikes and if you fell under her gaze, watch out! You could be next!
She was the fox’s favorite assassin, mostly because he knew that she would gain a hefty price. However, the day before she was to be sent to a large vermin horde far up north, Jani had enough of it all. So after her trainer, a brutal pine martin, had beaten her after she completed a mission, Jani shot him and ran.
The fox, enraged at the lost money more than his lost trainer, issued a large bounty upon Jani’s head to who ever killed her and brought back her head or captured her and brought her back alive.
Jani was angry. She was angry at the fox, the bounty hunters, the vermin, and herself. But mostly herself. She was so angry that she didn’t run before, that she didn’t look hard enough fro her brother, oh her baby brother. She had to find him. She had to see if he was alive or dead. No! He had to be alive!
So now she travels northward, on a hunt to find her little brother, to make her life different, to apologize…
