Your character's full name:
Species: American Marten
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Daily M'KoroAge: 15
Species: American Marten
Gender: Male
Appearance:
A little bit smaller than his brother, Daily has larger ears and bigger eyes-perfect for hunting at night. His claws and teeth are sharper and his paws are smaller. Daily wears a light blue tunic and a black cape like his brother's, but rarely has his club on hand. He is rather ashamed of it, and so doesn't carry it around much at all. Daily also takes care of himself much more than Raucus does, so, while Raucus may be rather scruffy and ill-kept, Daily will still look impeccable.Belongings:
Over his chest, from one shoulder to another, is a long horizontal scar that Raucus gave to Daily on the one and only occasion that Daily opposed him in a decision.
Daily carries a large club- the same one he left his home with- because he does not want to steal a weapon off of another beast, although he longs for a sword- a long, beautiful saber that he can wield without saying that he stole it.Job or Position:
MercenaryPersonality:
Daily is the smarter one of the two M'Koro brothers. Raucus tends to run straight into a situation, while Daily prefers to think and to strategize first. Also, Daily has a hard time bringing himself to kill just any old beast he comes across: his hatred has been so focused on hares ever since he was little that he really sees no problem with any other beasts except hares. He dislikes voles and squirrels, but would never willingly kill an otter. He says that they are strong beasts, and deserve to live. Raucus thinks that this is sissy talk, and so Daily has to keep his opinions to himself.History and Background Information:
Raucus, in many ways, oppresses his younger brother. Had Raucus not burned such fiery hate for hares into Daily, Daily would have been a valuable asset to those such as the Long Patrol and other resistance groups. As it is, he finds nothing wrong with any other species other than hares. However, he does what his brother tells him out of fear of Raucus' rage. Daily is the better swordsbeast then Raucus, but rarely brags about it. Daily prefers to be behind-the-scenes in most cases, often choosing a quiet knife between the shoulder blades over one-on-one combat.
Daily grew up on a farm with his two parents, three brothers, and two older sisters. As the baby of the family, he always did the least work around the house, but he did do enough that he wasn't completely useless. When the band of hares came, it was Daily's innocent idea to go out and give them a display to warn them not to mess with their farm. However, Daily's six-year-old mind did not understand that that would be considered an act of aggression, and that the hares might attack. He merely suggested it because that was what all the goodbeasts in the stories did to keep away the bad guys, and his parents couldn't think of a better idea, so they went along with his.Any other details: Code Words: -correct-
Needless to say, Daily was left behind in the house. Raucus was sent to protect him should anything happen. Daily was very young, and doesn't remember much other than screaming and Raucus crying. That was the only time that Daily ever saw his brother cry.
Being the young, impressionable marten that he was at the time, Daily blindly followed his older brother wherever Raucus went, doing whatever Raucus told him. Daily felt beholden to his older brother because Raucus had protected him for so long. However, this feeling disappeared as time wore on, and Daily began to feel like and be treated more and more like Raucus' equal. Indeed, by the time Daily was fourteen, he was Raucus' senior in swordsmanship, and was the more tactical of the two. Howevever, Daily stayed behind the scenes because he did not posses the cruel will of his brother.
One example of this is when he was raiding the house of the farming hares-the one where Raucus got his mace. Daily refused to go in for a long time, and then tried to convince Raucus not to take the mace from the house. It didn't work, and Raucus rewarded Daily with a long scar across his chest from shoulder to shoulder, but ever since then Daily has kept very, very quiet around his older brother.
