Appearance:

Silas is a squirrel of above average height, rather thin and tired-looking, though he does his best to look presentable to otherbeasts. His eyes are almost hazel, but not quite, offering an intensity of lost innocence and youth beginning to show. He doesn't have much in the way of distinguishing marks on his person, aside from the thin appearance and the intensity of his eyes. He does have a scar along the back of his paw that is beginning to disappear, after he had punched a certain fellow squirrel in the mouth out of a rare fit of rage. From day to day, he wears a white tunic over which is placed an olive green vest, which happens to be the same color as his trousers, belted at the waist by a brown cord.

Belongings:

Silas has many odds and ends of things in his tree-house, mostly books or parchment and charcoal, both of which he uses frequently outside the house. He also has a traveling cloak, a small utility knife, a hatchet, and a bow and arrows, among many other items that he and his parents keep.

Personality:

Silas is a shy, thoughtful squirrel, who is a stranger to fighting and bloodshed even in the time of Fort N'Tashi. Though he isn't often quick to laugh or cry openly, he is quite an amiable beast towards others despite his hesitance to express himself. He rarely gets angry, however when he does he more often than not wants to lash out at something, not really knowing why.

History and Background Information:

Before he was only a season old, Silas arrived mysteriously at the home of a young squirrel couple, in a basket on their small porch. They immediately adopted him as their own and raised him like any good parents should, though it was readily apparent that as he grew older, he did not resemble his adopted family, being taller and having a brighter coat of red fur, while his younger sister and parents were shorter and had darker fur. While his parents did not say much about his mysterious origin, his sister and other squirrels his age in the settlement questioned him, speculating in earnest about where he might have come from. Sometimes this would anger Silas, and so he would take out his frustration by practicing with bow and arrow, becoming markedly proficient in their use despite the relative peace that reigned over the settlement. Aside from the occasional band of vermin, it was quite a safe and secluded place he lived in. But soon Silas felt the need to leave his house more, often with parchment or book in paw, sitting atop a tree and drawing, or reading, or writing, away from all the other beasts. In the past few seasons he has roamed even farther from the settlement, feeling uncomfortable somehow in that peaceful village.

Any other details:

Silas is a light sleeper, though he tends to sleep longer than most beasts. His favorite food consists of something akin to plum pudding on top of a scone, a combination which he enjoys as often as is allowed.
