Personality:

Never accused of being serious, Eastpaw is a big one for playing jokes, telling jokes and just plain being himself. This light-hearted exterior hides a core of steel. He's protective of his friends and, and views himself as kind of a big brother to many.

He acts on impulse a good deal of the time, sparring with his brother or sisters, instead of getting something done that needs doing, for example. This sometimes gets him in trouble, i.e., Seasand’ll force him into work in her forge as punishment.

Strengths: Eastpaw, while not as speedy as his older twin, is the galloper of the two. He's far-sighted, and often sights things far-off before others. He's on an equal par with his brother in boxing.

Weaknesses: Eastpaw's not all that good with an actual weapon, though he's pretty good with a sling or bow.

History and Background Information:

Eastpaw was born twenty years ago to his parents, Rose and Banner Varilde. Rose named them Eastpaw and Southpaw because the names sounded more masculine than
He had a pretty easy childhood. When Eastpaw was three his mother gave birth to another set of twins, Westpaw and Northpaw. Her daughters. She told her husband, and he agreed, that two sets of boisterous twins were more than enough.

Eastpaw began learning at a early age to box from his father, and once the twins did not require all her attention, his mother taught him a few tricks.

He got along well with his younger sisters, protecting them from bullies with his twin and teaching them as their father taught him.

He joined the Long Patrol when he was sixteen, and has been in a few skirmishes, but the up-coming corsair attack will be the biggest battle he's ever been in.
