Your character's full name: Arel
Age: 31
Species: Sea Otter
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Age: 31
Species: Sea Otter
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Arel is a head taller then the average otter. He is filled with muscle, do to all the years of excercise and all the time he spent on a ship. His arms are long and filled with muscle and sinew which stick out like roots when he flexes or applies much pressure or force. His legs are long and also, like his arms, very muscular and filled with sinew.Belongings:
His fur adopted a deep chestnut brown color, and a mahogany tint, and over the years, he allowed it to become long and scraggly, just like his beard. His beard is long, and it starts above his mouth, goes around each side of his mouth, meets again under his bottom lips, then forms a regular beard about the length of half a fully grown male's forearm.
He has the left and right sides of his beard beaded with red and black beads, going in a pattern of red, black, red black, and so on. So, his beard looks like:

Only the front of his beard is beaded, and behind it is the rest of his beard which flows regularly, and is the width of his face, and no wider.
Arel keeps a large broadsword on his back that is the size of half a dockleaf, and has a black blade, save the very edges which are so silver that they look white. The blade was made by his grandfather, a very talented smith, who when making the metal blade part, put black dye in it, and then made the blade with the black metal. Oddly, though, the very edges stayed that perfect silver color, while the rest of the blade was black. Another odd thing was, it was called Anglachel, after his grandfather's name. Anglachel carries a basic metal hilt, wrapped in a black cloth that can only be cut off with a knife, I.E, someone cant unwrap it.
He also carries an axe he used when he was onboard a ship, and the axe head is a metal head that also has a white-ish look to it, save for the design that dances across it in a pattern. The design is a series of lines and loops that are black colored, and if you run your finger along them, you'll feel a slight indent in it.
Arel's attire is very simple:
A black V neck sleeveless shirt with red hemming that match his pants. Only, his pants have no red hemming. He wears thick leather boots, and black leather bracers, too.
Attire, thick leather bracers, axe and sword.Job or Position:
WarriorPersonality:
Arel is very Spartan-ish when he fights. He prefers a blade over a bow, and close combat then far off combat. He never lets his axe leave his side at all, meaning he'll never throw it unless putting on a show for somebeast, or killing a retreating enemy.History and Background Information:
Arel has learned, over the years, to control his rages. It takes much for him to control them, but he has learned how to do it. He'll go into rages usually if he only fights for more then 15 minutes, or if during a fight he gets very very angry at someone, or something.
Arel doesn't usually talk much when he's with those he doesn't know or trust, and he'll usually respond with a grunt or growl.
Above all his hatred, Arel hates vermin a lot, and usually he will kill them unless they can prove to him that they mean no harm and that they want to befriend him.
When arel was born, his mother died giving birth to him, and so he grew up with no mother. Arel was trained in the arts of fighting as he grew up with his father, and when he was 14, he was presented with Anglachel and his axe. He was told by his father that his grandfather formed Anglachel with metal and black dye, and that the edges of the blade somehow stayed that platinum color. There was no story behind the axe, but the only thing he was told was that it, too, was forged by his grandfather.Any other details:
At 18, Arel left the home and comfort of his village and left to go join a shipgoing on a long voyage to rid the seas of as many pirates that they could. As Arel worked onboard the ship, he became very knowledgeable of axe throwing and in the art of knots. He knows many knots, and he can knot any rope with his eyes closed.
4 months after the voyage began, Arel and his fellow crewmates were presented with their first pirate vessel. It was rather small-ish with not many crew, but still, it was a pirate vessel judging by the colors it was flying. So, the captain, another otter called Zeriah, ordered that the be taken in close, and that no one draw a blade unless they were attacked first. Through and through, the crew was going to rid the world of those pirates, but they wanted to prevent any bloodshed on their own side.
Anyway, the ship pulled in close, and 3 quarters of the crew boarded the other ship, while the rest guarded the ship, and among the boarders was Arel. Arel drew forth his axe, but stayed his hand, for he remembered what Zeriah had said. The pirates took one glance at the crew of otters, with a scattering of mice and squirrels, then attacked. Thus, Arel was presented with his first sea battle, and in all truth, he had much fun.
Arel and his comrades slew the pirates with only two of their own casualties. Arel fought very bravely and defended his comrades that were wounded, and also slew the most pirates. When Zeriah checked the dead, he noticed his quartermaster lieing among the other body. That night, after sinking the pirate vessel by putting holes in its sides, the crew voted on who would replace the fallen quartermaster, and Arel was elected.
The next few years onboard the ship, Arel and his comrades had destroyed many vessels, and taken much treasure. Then, one day, the lookout spooted a drifting vessel that wasn't flying any flag, but on it, they could see a few forms dressed in very regal attire, both male and female attire huddling together as if panicking. Arel ordered the ship to be taken in closer, and when they did, Zeriah asked what was wrong, and one of the beasts turned and winked, then threw and axe and killed Zeriah instantly. Arel was bewilderd, but then a vast crew of pirates jumped out of hiding and ambushed Zrel and his crewmates. There was a large bloody fight, and the pirates lost, but Arel and his mates suffered much casualties, leaving the formal total of 200 beasts left with less then 40. Arel ordered that the ship be set on fire, and the remaining crew did that, then went back to the ship disheartened.
"They tricked us!" A squirrel muttered harshly.
"Aye. And we were idiots to fall for such a trick." Arel responded.
So, the ship with its crew limped back to the destination that they first left from, and Arel bid his comrades farewell, then left the naval business to go find a new life on land.
Arel immediately headed for his village, and upon arrival, he couldn't find his father. He looked everywhere, and finally he asked where he was, and a mouse responded bitterly with anger in his voice, "Te village was sacked, thrice years after you had left. They killed your dad. Vermin. They killed your father and many more, leaving us to start out anew." Arel was disheartened and wet back to his old home and wept.
That night, Arel left the village without any farewell to others, and swore an oath that for every vermin he killed, he would do it in the name of his father, and all those villagers that were killed, and all his friends that were killed by pirates.
The name Anglachel was taken from the book "The Children of Hurin" by J.R.R Tolkien. I hope it was alright.Code Words: Its all goood
Also, Arel knows Rocky & Meko, and his alignment is good.
