Aidan is one of the more sturdily built hares, in contrast to his long and lanky compatriots, he is rather short and stocky. His fur is a dark brown with reddish tints, except for the tips of his ears, which are black; really the only familial resemblence he holds with his younger sister, Roseleaf. Aidan's eyes are a sharp green-black, and his face is a bit severe to be called handsome.

When not attired in the uniform of the long patrol, Aidan usually wears a simple dark blue tunic.

Belongings:

Aidan owns a surprising number of daggers, dirks and he even has a saber for distance fighting. As in, when the other guy's got a sword.

Roseleaf has given her brother a pair of woven cord 'bracelets', which he uses to hide a pair of slim throwing daggers on the underside of his forearms.

Personality:

Aidan has a sense of humor, though he usually puts setting an example ahead of having fun. He takes his duties as captain seriously, and as easily moved as a boulder when he wants something done or doesn't agree with someone.

A perilous hare in battle, he is a good ally in any conflict and loyal to his friends.

Strengths:
Aidan is definitely a master with his blades.
Aidan knows the rudimentary herbs and just a bit more, as his sister insisted on teaching him.

Weaknesses:
Aidan can't shoot a bow effectively, he can draw one and even shoot it, but aim seems to escape him.
Not the fastest runner, Aidan is not good at short and fast runs. He's better at slower and longer running.

History and Background Information:

Born an only child, Aidanwas raised mainly by his young father. His father was a sergeant in the patrol, and at a complete loss at how to raise a child. He learned quickly, though, but mainly he either took the child with him to whatever he did in the mountain, or left him with his sister if he had to fight.

Aidan started training with a practice wooden sword when he was five, as a way to keep him occupied away from the real weapons.

However, when Aidan was ten, his father remarried, and by the age of twelve, he had a little sister. He was fascinated, and between training as a hare for the long patrol he was often found helping his stepmother with his sister, Roseleaf.

Aidan joined the patrol officially as a private when he was fifteen. He became a captain at the age of twenty-two, about the time Roseleaf started her training with a longbow. He had hoped she’d become a part of the patrol as well, but she started to send time in the infirmary, and it was pretty obvious she was a healer first and a fighting beast second.

Seven years ago he was promoted to major.
