Your character's full name: Shor Tydesong

Appearance:
Age: 34
Species: Sea Otter
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Proportionally, Shor stands at about 5'10, a bit shorter than the average otter. Despite this, he is a very strongly built, stalwart otter.Belongings:
His large frame is covered in dark brown fur, like most otters, with light brown fur on his belly, and the lower half of his face, the light brown fur fading nicely into the dark brown fur, which covers his back, tail, paws, most of his head, and the upper half of his face. His eyes are a strange sort of green-blue color, whose gaze never seem to waver. Somebeasts think him strange for this particular trait, as he never fails to look a creature in the eyes, but he has never noticed, as it is rather difficult to look oneself in the eyes -- mirrors aren't too common in Mossflower. Unlike most otters, Shor has no tattoos whatsoever, for sentimental reasons that change each time he's asked. The only significant scar he has is one that cuts across his paw, and a barely visible mark that stretches across the right side of his head.
Having been raised in the Snowy North, he finds the Mossflower climate to be uncomfortably hot -- more so than what he is accustomed to -- and often wears a sleeveless, dark blue tunic, and even darker blue trousers. About his waist is a sling which acts as a belt, and covering his footpaws are two, black boots. When the season of Winter arrives, he wears a long-sleeved white tunic, which he also wears when he decides to dress nicely, though the rest of his outfit usually remains the same regardless of the season. He also wears the occasional kilt, along with the rest of the traditional clothing of his previous home in the North.
He prefers to carry with him his usual walking stick, and he refers to it as such, as opposed to "staff," a term which he chooses to leave to storytellers of fantasy...Job or Position:
Skipper of Sea OttersPersonality:
Shor is a friendly, gentle, caring, good-hearted, so on, and so forth kind of otter. He greatly enjoys playing with Dibbuns, being somewhat of a Dibbun at heart, himself. Had he lived at Redwall when he was that age, he would have likely led the D.A.B.History and Background Information:
He is very cautious, and hesitates when it comes to most matters. Helping and/or protecting another beast is not one of those matters. He does not tolerate cruelty of any kind, and can be driven to a near-bloodwrath sort of state if he sees a beast being cruel to another, depending on the level of cruelty. He himself would never consider being cruel toward another, regardless of the situation.
He tries to avoid fighting, but it is often inevitable, and when a conflict reaches such a point, he forsakes all gentleness and hesitation -- given, of course, proper respect to his beliefs toward cruelty. There is an immeasurably small possibility that he would ever -- rather, could ever -- be driven to cross such a line.
Shor was found and adopted by his father, who, at the time, was walking along the shoreline. He (Shor's father) was surprised to find an infant otter playing the water alone, with nobeast anywhere to be seen. He cared for the little otter for days, never leaving the area, but nobeast came. Unable to find the parents, he adopted the young otter as his own. He named him Shor, and when asked why, he explained, "'cos that's where I found him!" Spelling aside, the name was accepted.Any other details:
Shor was raised in the Northlands, and often aided in defending his family's home. When he had little or nothing to do, he would wander around, doing nothing in particular; watching clouds pass by, playing in snow, and humming improvised melodies as he idled about.
One day, he wandered off too far, and became lost. While trying to find his way back to his house, he accidentally slipped, and struck his head on a rock, several feet below where he stood, at the foot of a small "cliff," as he described it. Not long afterward, his father, who had been searching for Shor and heard him yell as he slipped, found him laying in patch of snow, which had turned red from blood. Quickly, he took Shor back to his home, where Shor's mother, a healer, was, by some miracle, able to save the young otter. Unfortunately, she was unable to prevent him from passing out every few hours. As he advanced in seasons, Shor's condition grew better, slipping into unconsciousness less frequently.
Eventually, when he could last a full day without passing out, he left his home, and traveled further northward, until he reached the Highland Holt, a holt of sea otters comprised of most of the surviving clans of the otters of the north. When word reached the holt of Redwall Abbey's fall, nine and half seasons after the fact, a decision was quickly formed to band as many otter clans as possible to aid in the reclaiming of the Abbey.
Much had occurred during the nine and a half season period. The very day the Abbey fell, Shor joined the holt. At this point, nobeast had heard anything new from the Abbey in several seasons, and contact with the eagles of the north had been broken many seasons before that, making communication with Redwall nearly impossible. Somehow, Shor's frequent loss of consciousness drew the attention of the holt leader, himself, Skipper MacBrayer...
He is still single, but is considering a relationship with a close friend of his from Mossflower.
He likes to sing, though he rarely does, not that he is bad at it.
As mentioned before: Because of an unfortunate accident that occurred in his youth, he has a strange mental condition that causes him to lose consciousness at any random time, usually once every six or eight days. This spontaneous loss of psychological awareness (random fainting) is obviously a large problem, which cannot be fixed. When this does happen, he'll remain unconscious for almost any amount of time, ranging from minutes to half a day.
