We go by years here, not seasons. Redwall has been captured for forty years. I'd advise you to read Mossflower. Its sorta the same situation, except without Martin alive and with them fighting to get Redwall back.
Salamandastron and Camp Moss have come into recent contact, with the hares being led by Badgerlord Melroch to help the beleaguered Rebellion.

For those of you who are not aquainted with the details of our plot, here is a brief account of all that has come to pass:
Some fourty years ago, Redwall was overtaken by a vermin horde. All those left alive within after the fighting ceased were enslaved, but, refused to submit completely to the vermin. Torture devices of unspeakable nature were made and used on the more rebellious slaves. Those slaves who were forced to witness the torture were soon broken of will. After some time, the stoat who was most responsible for the torture devices rose to lead the horde. This leader, N'Tashi, renamed the abbey after himself, organized raiding parties to clear all the land under this influence of those creatures that would be be classified as “goodbeasts”. He also enabled a tithe of all those peaceful verminfolk under his dominion. Any who could not pay the tithe were offered a place in N'Tashi's horde as a form of payment, any who refused even this were forced into slavery. Very few deigned to resist up to that point.
After Redwall fell, contact between the abbey and the legendary mountain of Salamandanstron came to a close. The land between the few became a region for lawless types to flourish. Those in Mossflower soon forgot about the old mountain, those in the mountain just as quickly forgot the now corrupted sandstone building.
Over time, a rebel encampment was established, a series of secluded tunnels. It is called Camp Moss. For the sake of survival, the only ones who know about it's whereabouts are it's residents and a very select few.
